BIOGRAPHY | ART

Krzysztof Zarebski was born in 1939 in Warsaw. In 1962-1968 studied painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He is a performer since 1971. In 1974-1981 Zarebski worked with Helmut Kajzar in his experimental theatre and all leading performers in Poland. Designed sets for productions of Kajzar’s plays. He lives in New York since 1981. Zarebski worked with The Rivington School artists group since he come to NYC. In 1988 he designed the set for a production of Tadeusz Rozewicz’s play directed by Kazimierz Braun, staged i.a. in Chicago. Krzysztof Zarebski practices performance art, photography and sculpture. He is an exelent draftsman as well. His drawings are simply scripts for performances and thats why they are so interesting.
